Research: from question to evidence

Lesson 1

Define a precise question, jurisdiction, date range and intended output. Search for overlapping work before collecting sources. Record what is outside the scope and any known deadline.

Lesson 2

Start with primary records. Give the source title, exact URL, date and page, section or timestamp. Separate a fact from an allegation, opinion, legal proposition, inference or open question. A source proves what it actually records, not every conclusion drawn from it.

Lesson 3

Look for corroboration and material contrary evidence. State uncertainty and gaps. Submit public contributions for review; internal researchers save sources and evidence in the project forms and submit their assignment. Coordinator acceptance does not authorize public release or legal handoff.
