Complaints, discipline & appeal procedure
Provides fair intake, interim protection, findings, sanctions and independent review.
Intake and triage
Record the complaint, scope, requested remedy, safety risks, limitation dates and conflicts. Redirect emergencies and criminal allegations to appropriate authorities; the organization does not investigate beyond its mandate.
Fair process
Give the respondent sufficient particulars and a meaningful chance to answer, subject to lawful safety and privacy limits. Use an impartial reviewer, a proportionate evidence standard and written reasons. Interim measures protect the process and are not findings.
Outcomes and appeal
Outcomes may include no action, education, correction, conditions, recusal, suspension, removal recommendation or referral. A materially affected person may request review for procedural unfairness, new decisive evidence, conflict or unreasonable outcome within the stated deadline.
