Terms of use

Proposed rules for website use, submissions, accounts and disputes.

Proposed policy — not yet adopted

Published for organizational and legal review. This draft does not certify compliance or establish that its proposed procedures are already operating.

01Operator and scope

These draft terms concern this website and its civic participation tools, operated by 1001215704 ONTARIO CORPORATION as CANADIAN DEMOCRATIC DEFENCE ASSOCIATION. They are published for review and are not presented as an executed membership contract. Mandatory legal rights remain unaffected.

02Permitted use and account responsibility

Use the site lawfully, provide accurate application information and protect your sign-in account. Do not impersonate others, submit malicious code, bypass access controls, scrape restricted personal data, threaten people or obstruct services. No role or application authorizes you to speak for CDDA, bind the corporation or access another person's records.

03Content and intellectual property

Contributors retain their rights in original material. Submit only material you are entitled to share and permit the limited handling necessary to review it for the stated purpose. Public release or broader reuse should be agreed separately. Source documents retain their owners' rights. Linking or citing does not transfer copyright, and CDDA branding must not imply an endorsement without permission.

04Moderation and restricted access

Administrators may restrict material or access to protect people, records and lawful operations. Decisions should record a reason, distinguish disagreement from misconduct and offer a review by an uninvolved person where practical. Urgent protective action may precede review. A complaint or appeal does not suspend a legal deadline.

05Information, availability and external links

Content supports public education and civic research, not individualized legal, tax or financial advice. Records may be incomplete or corrected. External links are references, not endorsements. Service availability and specific outcomes are not guaranteed. No statement here excludes responsibility or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded; no blanket release, forced arbitration or waiver of statutory rights is proposed.

06Disputes, governing law and changes

The proposed governing law is Ontario law and applicable Canadian federal law, subject to mandatory protections and jurisdiction rules that apply to a participant. Start a concern through the contact form if appropriate; this does not prevent contacting a regulator or seeking a legal remedy. Material revisions should be dated and notified before reliance on them. These terms require review against the final services and approved corporate decisions before formal adoption.
